Coldspring Methodist Church - Your Sunday Sanctuary
Fear often takes hold in moments of uncertainty—when the future feels unclear, and we’re left wondering what will come next. The disciples knew this feeling all too well. After Jesus’ crucifixion, they were overwhelmed by grief, confusion, and fear. Even when He appeared to them, they were startled and afraid, thinking He was a ghost.
But Jesus came alongside them in their fear. He reassured them with His presence, showed them His hands and feet, and even ate with them to prove He was alive. He reminded them of God’s promises, opening their minds to understand how His death and resurrection fulfilled the Scriptures.
This story reminds us that Jesus walks with us in our own moments of fear and uncertainty. He offers us His peace, reassures us with His presence, and strengthens our faith by reminding us of His promises. Where do you need His peace today? How is He inviting you to trust Him more deeply as you walk through life’s uncertainties?
