Welcome to the first Sunday of Advent! For many of us, it's easy to focus on the past—reflecting on our accomplishments or the things we’ve left undone. While hindsight has its place, this season calls us to shift our gaze. Advent invites us to look ahead, seeking the signs that point to Christ’s return. It is a time to reflect on how we can prepare our hearts and minds for His coming amidst the distractions of the world.

  The busyness and clamor of life can easily distract us from the hope, joy, peace, and love found in the Kingdom of God. This week, let’s intentionally seek out signs of hope—moments of kindness, acts of generosity, and connections that deepen our faith. These reminders encourage us to remain spiritually vigilant and focused on what truly matters. Even better, as Coldspring Methodist Church, we can become a source of hope for others, allowing Christ’s light to shine through us.
