Strength For the Caregiver - Pastor David, February 16, 2025
Taking care of a loved one or person in need can be exhausting. It can leave us feeling stretched too thin, emotionally drained, and fragile—like we’re barely holding it all together. Balancing the weight of responsibilities and emotional strain can feel overwhelming. But what if our weakness isn’t the end of the story? What if it’s where something extraordinary begins?
Strength doesn’t always look like having it all together. Sometimes, it looks like pressing on when we’re hard-pressed, finding hope when we’re perplexed, and showing up even when we feel struck down. Imagine a cracked clay pot that still holds water. The cracks may seem like flaws, but they allow light or water to pour out for others to see and receive. Similarly, our struggles may feel burdensome, but they often reveal something greater—something beautiful—through our service and sacrifice.
We are like clay jars—fragile and ordinary—yet filled with a priceless treasure. Even in our brokenness, God’s power sustains us, His renewal strengthens us, and our sacrifices bring glory to Him. So ask yourself: What is shining through your cracks?
