Coldspring Methodist Church - Your Sunday Sanctuary

Imagine a heart burdened by guilt, longing for forgiveness. Have you ever felt this way, like the psalmist who cries out for renewal? His plea for a clean heart reminds us that God’s grace is always there for us, no matter what we’ve done.

This feeling of guilt leads us to an important truth: our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. This means we are called to honor ourselves and each other, recognizing that God’s presence is within us. Does knowing this influence how you live and interact with others? Maybe? Maybe, not?

As we think about our journey, we need to be mindful of the fruits of the Spirit—qualities like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These traits not only shape who we are but also have the power to transform our relationships and communities. Jesus said, “If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.”

Reflecting on these themes invites us to seek forgiveness and embrace our identity in Christ. It leads to deeper connections with others and a clearer sense of purpose in our lives. Honor the Temple that you are called to be.
