Crossing the Bridge - Week Two - Day Seven

Sunday: Full Scripture Reading and Sermon

Scripture: 2 Kings 4:1-7

I hope you made it through the entire week in the daily plan.  As I said on day one – each day has its own challenges – just like life!  For those of you not following along – c’mon and jump in.  You can go back to Day One and see how it works.

If you’re unable to join us for today’s sermon in person, don’t forget that you can access the recording in the Video Archives section of the CMC app. We hope it blesses you as you prepare for Lent.

Weekly Reflection Points as we get ready for the Sermon

Day 1: God sees our desperation.
In our moments of deepest despair, God not only sees but also cares. Trust that He is near, even when you feel overwhelmed.

Day 2: God uses what we have.
No matter how small or insignificant it seems, God can use what you already possess to accomplish His purposes. Offer it to Him in faith.

Day 3: Faith requires action.
Faith isn’t passive—it calls us to step out, take risks, and trust God as we obey His leading.

Day 4: Trust God in the process.
Even when the journey feels uncertain, trust that God is working behind the scenes for your good and His glory.

Day 5: God’s provision is abundant but requires our preparation.
God’s blessings are plentiful, but we must be ready to receive them by preparing our hearts and lives.

Day 6: God’s provision brings freedom and security.
When God provides, He not only meets our immediate needs but also secures our future in Him.

Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father,
As we reflect on this week’s lessons, we are reminded of Your faithfulness and provision in every aspect of our lives. Thank You for seeing us in our desperation, for using what we already have, and for calling us to take steps of faith. Help us to trust You in the process, prepare our hearts for Your abundant provision, and rest in the freedom and security You provide. As we prepare for Lent, guide us to identify what we need to let go of so that we can draw closer to You. May this season be one of deep spiritual growth and renewed intimacy with You.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
